Well, today was my 36th birthday. A fantastic one it was as well.

When I look back over the past ten years or so, I seem to remember less of the material presents that I received and more of the moments that I have had with with family and friends on my birthday. This year was no different. In fact, one of the gifts or moments I received this year is below and is from one of my favorite people. If someone thinks this of me, then I am real proud of who I am because this might be the most complimentary description of me every said out loud. Take a read:

The big surprise last weekend was the killer cheese shop I found while waiting to take off for the race in Annapolis. I stumbled across this great shoppe with this french-american woman who suggested I try this blue cheese called Saint Agur. Her family has run the business for several generations. This place is a must visit for cheese fans.

Really, holy fantastic cheese batman. Saint Agur just got put into my top 5.

2010 has really become the year of firsts for me. While the "firsts" are too long and boring to list, there is an important one coming up early next month. I will crew in my first yacht race which is something I have wanted to do since I first sailed with my dad and cousins on the family sunfish on Little Crooked Lake in Michigan.

I am about 6.5 hours away from finshing an important challenge I took on over 17 monhs ago. Later today I will finish my last class at the University of Notre Dame in it's Mendoza College of Business. Then next week I will receive my diploma and celebrate with my family and friends. Before that day arrives there are lots of people to thank and I will not do that through this site. Eveyone involved in this accomplishment deserves more than that.
