I am 33 years old. The last thing I ever thought I would be telling the world that I am into is kiting. But the bug caught me a few years ago when I had a REI dividend to use before it expired.
Having shopped at REI for years, there is essentially nothing at REI that I need. Fortunately, I found a prism sport kite on an end cap of an aisle filled with hats and gloves.
Since then I flown that kite whenever I could. In fact, I took it on my honeymoon last year and flew it on the beach. Really the beach is one of the best places to pilot any type of kite. With the trade winds and the open space, you can really get that kite moving.
But this year, I found something better than piloting a sport kite. I found POWER KITING.
Now don't tease me until you have tried it. I am convinced that if you gave it a try you would be at the store the next day or online finding one to purchase. It is just a fact.
So, if you are interested, give it a try. I pilot a 2.7 Symphony by HQ. Check it out or give another try. I know that in the next three months I will probably own 5 or 6 different kites of all shapes and sizes.
