You know I consider myself to be an undercover tech nerd. Well I guess not so undercover as I have now stated this on my website and I have a website with my name on it. The good news is I think I am the only one that reads this site so I may well still be safe.
That said, I wondered today when the last time I even cared to sign into my twitter account. I mean I have so many access points to the social media site. I can enter through a widget on google. It is installed as an add on in my browser. I have it on my iPhone. But I literally have not signed on in seemingly months.
So, has Zuckerberg been successful in defending his turf from the twitter assault? I think so. yes my followers on twitter are growing and more than facebook. But I have no personal relationship with these people. Yet, on facebook, I feel a personal connection to the people on there and know almost all of them from some previous job, school or other connection. I just don't get that on twitter.
In fact, the people that are adding me these days are bots and bogus sites selling MLM and other crap I just simply dont care about. So, I conclude twitter is dead. Yes, it might grow but who is really using it these days for something other than marketing. So, twitter, go ahead and jump the shark again.
