I decided to go back and take a look at what I resolved to do at the beginning of 2008. Frankly, I couldn't remember most of what I had resolved to do but I find that I should be pleased overall with my accomplishment.
For instance, I did buy less electronic crap for sure. Nothing to big other than the IPhone and the Kindle. Usually, I pull together enough electronics to drain the grid of a few megawatts of electricity over the year.
With less devices to plug into the wall, I certainly accomplished another resolution of 2008. I became more green. With less devices to plug into the wall, I decreased my rate of carbon footprint growth and I also printed significantly less paper than I did in previous years. These two facts alone I think give proof to another resolution being satisfied in 2008.
Although, I cannot say that I succeeded on all accounts. I did resolve to work out more. While I did through the month of July, the end of 2008 was marked more with running from meeting to meeting instead of from the house to the gym. Regardless of some achievements with my health, I had a net weight gain over the year so you can not claim to be healthy if you officially now have fat pants. So, having said all of that, here are my resolutions for 2009. They are in no particular order.
1. Run At Least 5 miles a week
2. Let No Airport Food Pass My Lips
3. Exercise A Minimum of 3 Days Per Week
4. Take More Photos
5. Engineer the Outcome!!!
Be well all. Happy New Year, Feliz Anos Nuevo to mi Amigos in Espana y Mexico.
